Building Our Business: PeopleSoft 9 Oh! Upgrade

The upgraded PeopleSoft and MyUB have been up and running smoothly since Tuesday evening, October 21. Though only the first phase of the upgrade project, it was the largest and most impactful. These pages will remain available as a central location for updates, frequently asked questions and answers, and other project developments.

Announced 8.20.08

9 Oh! GoLive is Oct. 20 and 21: PeopleSoft and MyUB Portal will be unavailable from Oct. 15 through 20 or 21
Progress on the 9 Oh! project has been remarkable. For many of you, this project may be a tiny blip on your radar screen, barely perceptible. When PeopleSoft and the MyUB Portal is upgraded from version 8 to version 9, the downtime for the cutover will affect all of us. Starting at 5 p.m. on Oct. 15, PeopleSoft and MyUB will be unavailable. They will be up again on Oct. 20 or 21.

Offices such as Records, Bursar's, Human Resources, and Admissions, that rely on PeopleSoft to deliver services will provide details about preparing for the downtime, and general information will be provided via the Web, MyUB, and the Daily Digest.

Stay tuned for additional details.

Note: PeopleSoft Financials service should not be interrupted during this period.

Begun in fall 2007, UB's "Building Our Business: PeopleSoft 9 Oh! Upgrade" is a strategic, multi-part technology initiative. From serving the needs of students to completing everyday business transactions, this project, which involves UB's switch from PeopleSoft version 8 to 9.0, will bring innovative solutions to the UB community, both present and future.

This Web site is designed to answer the UB community's questions and provide information about the upgrade as well as establish a forum for ideas about the process and its outcomes—including announcements about key developments as "9 Oh!" nears its targeted completion date of Oct. 21.

Check back here for regular updates to the project, new features and other elements designed to augment the University's transition to the latest version of PeopleSoft.
