The College of Public Affairs Dean’s Speaker Series will resume on Oct. 17 with a discussion on graffiti. Ron Niezen, professor and Katharine A. Pearson Chair in Civil Society and Public Policy in the faculties of Law and of Arts at McGill University, and Jeffrey Ian Ross, professor in UB’s School of Criminal Justice will both deliver talks about graffiti, but from two different vantage points: Niezen will discuss how people use graffiti to make rights claims (immigration, women’s rights, etc.), while Ross will explore graffiti as a part of street culture.

The event is FREE but seating is limited, so please arrive a few minutes early.
