The fall schedule of Spotlight UBalt—the University of Baltimore's live performance series held in the Lucy and Vernon Wright Theater at 21 W. Mount Royal Ave.—features an eclectic mix of performances including classical music, poetry and theater. The season will begin with a partnership with the University's Helen P. Denit Honors Program and ends with a debut concert by the Monument Trio.

Sept. 14
7 p.m.
Spotlight partners with the UBalt Honors Department to produce a staged reading of Christopher Shorr’s verbatim theater piece, Tribute: 9/11. Directed by Michael Zemarel and featuring both UBalt and local actors, including Rain Pryor, the play explores the impact of the tragedy through witness accounts. Free and open to the public.
Oct. 6
7 p.m.
Two Pear Productions brings their Capitol Fringe Festival hit Logic Luck and Love to UBalt. Lauded by both the Washington Post and the blog D.C. Theatre Scene, Logic tells true tales about the probability, possibility, choices and dumb luck of falling in and out of love. $5 general admission.
Oct. 21
7 p.m.
Part of BOPA’s FreeFall Baltimore Festival, CityLit Project and Ravolution Multimedia team up again for a second Across Words performance night that engages the audience with an entertaining mix of poetry and music. Free and open to the public.
Oct. 26
7 p.m.
Edgar Allen Poe impersonator Tony Tsendeas returns to UBalt to perform Poe's terrifying and electric prose, including The Black Cat, The Raven and The Telltale Heart. Between performances the audience is encouraged to share their own ghost stories. $5 student admission; $10 general admission.

The Aspen String Trio returns to campus for a performance of a diverse program of classical music, again hosted by radio personality Jonathan Palevsky. $20 general admission; $15 seniors; $5 for students and alumni.
Nov. 7
7 p.m.
The Monument Trio, comprised of Baltimore Symphony Orchestra violinist Igor Yuzefovich and cellist Darius Skorzczewski, joined by pianist Michael Sheppard, debut their first CD in this premiere performance. $15 general admission; $10 seniors; $5 for students and alumni.

Worldwide AIDS Awareness Day: The NAMES Project quilt panels will be on display in the Student Center lobby.
