Maryland Rep. Andy Harris will discuss the ongoing health policy issues now being debated before Congress, in an open forum hosted by The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine-University of Baltimore School of Law's Center for Medicine and Law on Thursday, April 19 at 5 p.m. in the school's Moot Court Room, 1415 Maryland Ave. The event is free and open to the public (pre-registration is encouraged; see below for details), and will include time for audience questions and comments.
Rep. Harris is a trained physician, with bachelor's, M.D., and M.H.S. degrees from Johns Hopkins. He also served as an associate professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine, as well as chief of obstetric anesthesiology, at Hopkins. He is one of only a handful of practicing doctors who also are members of Congress.
