The University of Baltimore will hold commencement for its spring 2012 arts and sciences, public affairs and business graduates on Wednesday, May 16 at the Patricia and Arthur Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric, 140 W. Mt. Royal Ave. Commencement for doctoral and graduate students will take place beginning at 10:30 a.m. that day, while the ceremony for undergraduates will begin at 2:30 p.m.
UB Provost Joseph Wood will officially present all candidates for degrees to Merrick School of Business Dean Darlene Smith, B.S. '78, M.B.A., '80, College of Public Affairs Dean Stephen L. Percy, Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences Interim Dean Jeffrey K. Sawyer and President Robert L. Bogomolny, who will then confer degrees and certificates to all graduates. Thomas G. Slater, representative of the University System of Maryland Board of Regents, Jeff Glock, B.S. '88, president of the UB Alumni Association, Lillian Carter, B.S. '99, vice president of the UB Alumni Association, and Bogomolny will greet the graduates and their guests. Diane L. Bell-McKoy, president and CEO of Associated Black Charities, will provide a keynote address. Hannah M. Dawson, senior class representative, and Phineas M. Deford, graduate representative, will offer remarks.
