A fundraiser for Maryland's marriage equality movement, sponsored in part by the University of Baltimore School of Law student organization OutLaw, will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the school's Moot Court Room, 1415 Maryland Ave. The evening's events will include a screening of Married in Spandex, a short film by Devin Gallagher and Allison Kole. Refreshments will be provided. The film's directors will be on hand for questions and conversation following the screening.
Married in Spandex tells the story of Amanda and Rachel, a couple determined to make their wedding day a unique and memorable affair. The film has been described as "part road movie, part political documentary, part performance art and, utterly and unquestionably, all love story." It has been screened at a number of film festivals around the country.
Tickets for this event are $75 per person or $125 for two, and are available online.
