Two University of Baltimore School of Law professors were intregral in the Baltimore Sun's recent coverage of the issue of area speed cameras that allegedly are wrongly ticketing motorists. Professors Colin Starger and Robert Lande were quoted in a Dec. 26 front-page article about potential legal recourse for these drivers. Starger and Lande's depth of knowledge in this area of the law helped illustrate the hurdles motorists face in challenging their tickets.
Said Starger: "Basically the only reason to [challenge a ticket] would be if you wanted to get $40 back and stick it to the man." He concluded that the speed cameras were a "brilliantly conceived system of nuisance."
