In a Bloomberg BusinessWeek article about the various ways that Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton and his heirs have dodged significant tax bills on their enormous wealth, Wendy Gerzog, professor in the University of Baltimore School of Law, says the efforts are "beyond belief."
The use of a family holding company to generate a 20 to 30 percent discount on a tax bill, for example, leads to "a world of unreality," Gerzog says.
