These groups, some conservative and some liberal, "have different goals, and while they're not necessarily incompatible, we have to be very, very careful," Jaros says. "We just have to wave a caution flag—not a red flag that says 'stop'—when we see these coalitions, and really peel back what the motivations are and what the tensions are between the goals."
