The University of Baltimore School of Law will host its fourth annual Homecoming and Reunion Weekend on Oct. 6-8.
Returning members of the classes of 1956, ’66, ’76, ’81, ’86 and ’96 will receive special recognition, and former participants in the school’s Aberdeen (Scotland) Study Abroad Program will celebrate the program’s 20th anniversary. Attending members of the class of ’56 will be honored in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of their graduation.
The weekend’s events include a welcoming cocktail reception, a softball game for alumni and current students, a gala dinner and dancing at The Center Club and a Sunday jazz brunch.
A highlight of the celebration will be a forum, “The Collateral Effects of Criminal Incarceration,” on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. The event will take place in the new UB Student Center’s Performing Arts Theater.
The weekend’s events offer alumni an opportunity to reacquaint themselves with the school and its unique history of contributing to the legal systems of Maryland and beyond. Graduates can also become more familiar with the school’s current activities and future plans. Alumni, who often travel across country to attend, come away from the event reconnected to the place where their adult lives began.
R.S.V.P.s for the weekend’s events are being accepted through Sept. 25. Space is limited. Additional information, including admission prices, is available at 410.837.6797 or by e-mail at ear@ubalt.edu.
The University of Baltimore is a member of the University System of Maryland and comprises the School of Law, the Yale Gordon College of Liberal Arts and the Merrick School of Business.
