"ReNew Orleans," an event intended to encourage awareness of the Gulf region in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, will take place in the School of Law on Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The public is encouraged to stop by the Venable Baetjer Howard Moot Court Room and the lobby of the law school, both at 1415 Maryland Ave., to find out about UB's participation in the national Student Hurricane Network and how UB's law students are helping to resolve the Katrina crisis.
Students who recently traveled to New Orleans to conduct legal work will be on hand to answer questions. A special MICA-sponsored screening of All on a Mardi Gras Day and Inside/Outside: Baltimore Buries Violence will take place beginning at 8 p.m.
This event will begin immediately following the law library lecture, "Individual Rights Post 9/11: Cause for Concern?".
