The University of Baltimore School of Law's 15th annual UBSPI Auction— proceeds from which go to fund summer stipends for law students working for public interest organizations—will take place on Friday, Feb. 6, beginning at 7 p.m. at The Belvedere, 1 Chase St. (Ticket and registration information listed below.)
The School of Law community and UBSPI—University of Baltimore Students for Public Interest—have joined together for the last several years to host this special event. It features the presentation of the annual Robert M. Bell Award for Leadership in Public Service. The proceeds allow UB law students to take summer jobs at agencies, organizations and nonprofits working for the public interest—an often invaluable experience.
Attendees will enjoy bidding during the live and silent auctions, as well as food and entertainment. (The event will continue until 10:30 p.m.) Validated parking in the Belvedere lot will be provided for ticket holders.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, and $10 in advance or $15 at the door for current UB law students. To register online, click here. For more information about this event, send an e-mail to UBSPI at ubspi@ubalt.edu.
The University of Baltimore is a member of the University System of Maryland and comprises the School of Law, the Yale Gordon College of Liberal Arts and the Merrick School of Business.
