Announcement (Video Below):
To keep pace with the changing landscape of higher education, the University of Baltimore is leading an effort to improve the delivery of textbooks. In an e-commerce world, it makes sense for UB students to get the materials they need when they need them.
Starting this fall, all UB students – undergraduate, graduate, and law – will have access to a virtual store for textbooks and course materials.
Our textbook partner, MBS Direct, brings the marketplace to you with a wide range of options – new and used books, textbook rentals, and e-books. Students can buy and sell, rent and return, and arrange for delivery of every book they’ll need, using bookstore credit in exactly the same way. MBS Direct not only brings the marketplace to students but also offers competitive prices, often at a significant discount.
Barnes & Noble will continue to operate the Hive, UB’s official store in the Student Center – with all the school supplies, snacks, coffee and swag you’ve come to expect (but no textbooks!). The Fitzgerald site of the store will relocate to the Student Center space in July 2018. In a second phase, the Student Center Coffee Bar will be renovated and expanded to feature a wider Starbucks menu.
