Freshman Checklist

  • Explore you proposed major
  • Meet with your academic advisor
  • Talk with a professor about your intended major
  • Utilize tutoring and writing resources in the Achievement and Learning Center
  • Orient yourself to campus buildings
  • Join at least one student organization
  • Be sure to use your UB email
  • Meet with a career coach and discuss career assessment tools
  • Lean how to calculate your Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • If applicable, renew your FASFA by March 1st
