The cashier takes the last over-the-counter transaction 10 minutes prior to closing.
Students wishing to withdraw in person from a course or from the University entirely must submit an official withdrawal request to the Office of Records and Registration. Students wishing to withdraw online via MyUB from a course or from the University, entirely, should always confirm the completion of the withdrawal by reviewing their schedule after submitting the withdrawal, or by contacting the Office of Records and Registration. No credit or tuition refund will be made unless an official request is submitted. The computation of any credit or refund is made from the date of the official withdrawal request, whether in person or online, and not from the date the student stopped attending class(es).

Exceptions to the Refund Policy
If you are confronted with an unexpected and serious circumstance that requires you to withdraw from your course(s), you may request review by the Tuition Reduction Appeals Committee for an exception to the Refund Policy, and ask for a reversal of a portion of your tuition charges. Your petition should explain, in detail, the circumstances, how the circumstances caused the need for you to withdraw from the course(s), and what actions you have taken to resolve or prevent such an event from occurring in subsequent terms. In addition you must provide any relevant third-party documentation. Students are encouraged to review the Tuition Appeals Guidelines for more information on acceptable documentation.
Requests for exception should be submitted immediately; however, no requests will be considered 30 days beyond the term in question.
The Tuition Reduction Appeals Committee is comprised of representatives from the Offices of the Bursar, Records and Registration, and Financial Aid in conjunction with a representative from academic leadership. The committee will review your appeal based on: a) the seriousness and duration of your circumstances; b) whether it was beyond your ability to control; c) whether you were able to drop courses by the standard deadline; and d) how promptly you submitted your appeal.
Exceptions will be determined and addressed on a case-by-case basis. The committee’s findings will be considered final and will be communicated to the student by a representative of the Bursar’s Office.
