Petition for Change or Appeal of Residency Classification (72k pdf) -- If you are a current student and your residency status has changed, you must submit this form with all the required documentation. The Residency Committee will review the petition and all supporting documents to determine if you have met the standards for in-state status for tuition purposes. This petition is also used by incoming students wishing to appeal an admission office decision regarding their residency classification. Instructions are included about how to complete the petition.
Maryland In-State Residency Status Form (53k pdf) -- If you are applying to the university for the first time, complete this form to be considered for classification as a Maryland resident and in-state tuition status. Please be sure to answer all questions completely. Failure to submit this form or to complete it properly will result in your residency status being classified as out-of-state.
University System of Maryland Nonresident Tutition Exmpetion Request (99k pdf) -- Non-resident applicants who have graduated from a Maryland high school and completed 60 credits or the Associate's degree at a Maryland community college may be eligible for a non-resident tuition fee exemption. Complete this petition and submit the required documentation to request an exemption. This request should not be submitted until after you have been admitted to the University.
