The University continually seeks to further its commitment to volunteerism and community outreach.
University initiatives include major on and off-campus volunteerism programs and ongoing communication with residential neighbors and community partners. UB is committed to strengthening community relationships and contributing to the vitality of Baltimore.
Among our many programs that benefit the community are:
- the HEROES Academy for Baltimore-area high school students
- the Excel Fellowship—a one-on-one mentoring program
- Neighbors in Need—a campuswide holiday donation program for Baltimore area families and shelters.
