The 2012 "Neighbors in Need":
- included eight Baltimore City Department of Social Service families and three families from the Salvation Army/Command Booth House
- supplied three shelters—the Salvation Army, Waxter Senior Center and Alternative Directions—with various toiletry items and hats and gloves
- provided Our Daily Bread with lunch bags for the homeless
- made Fuel for Final Study bags for UB students
- participated in the Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts.
UB Staff and Faculty Spirit at Work: "Neighbors In Need" Winter Holiday Giving Activity
The University of Baltimore hosted its 6th Annual UB Staff and Faculty Spirit at Work: "Neighbors In Need" Winter Holiday Giving Activity during the 2012 holiday season. Each year, staff and faculty embrace the spirit of giving and generously extend holiday wishes beyond UB's campus to our Baltimore City neighbors and shelters through various donations.
UB staff and faculty gave their time and sincere well wishes to our neighbors, donating items such as clothing, coats, housewares, food, gift cards, electronics, personal care items, books, DVDs, handbags, bikes, learning activity games and pet supplies, altogether valued at more than $6,000.
