Retirement is an exciting milestone for many, yet it requires a great deal of planning and preparation. We’ve assembled some information here to help you make decisions now about planning for retirement, and to help when you're ready to transition into retirement. Upon joining the University of Baltimore, every regular employee must enroll in a retirement plan. The plan also determines the benefits you'll receive upon retiring.
Faculty and exempt employees choose from the State Retirement & Pension System (SRPS), a defined benefit program, or the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP), a defined contribution plan with the management choice of Fidelity Investments or TIAA-CREF.
Non-exempt employees and police officers must join the SRPS.
