The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is a team-centered dedicated group of professionals that delivers and supports accessible, high quality enabling technology solutions and information services. We're looking for a Media Specialist to assist the University of Baltimore faculty, staff and students engage with technology tools to enhance the learning process. The Media Specialist participates in the user training/support, scheduling, delivery, maintenance, and update of classroom technology and media equipment used for instruction at the University. This specialist works with UB internal and external groups needing media support and planning. The ability to contribute to the expansion of instructional technologies and services to better the Media and Classroom Services department is expected and we look forward to hiring a creative team member to add energy and expertise.
Qualifications
Education - High School diploma or GED required. An associate’s degree in media, instructional technology or related field is preferred.
Job experience - Two years of experience working in IT media required. Experience working in a classroom technology environment is preferred. Three years of experience, including experience in a higher education setting, preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to provide technical support of Audio/visual equipment (projectors, TV, DVD, Blu-Ray, cameras, microphones, sound amplification equipment, lighting equipment, control and processing equipment etc.)
Working knowledge of personal computer hardware and software.
AV production support for video, still-image, and sound editing software. Scheduling, inventory, and call tracking software. Media control and design software.
Ability to make minor repairs and use a variety of components/cables for repair and setting up events.
Team player capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer support.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Evening and Saturday support is scheduled on a rotating needs basis each semester is part of required working schedule to meet the UB community needs. Special event work for late evenings and Sundays will be occasionally required.

•For country, enter USA or click the hourglass to select another country.
•You can use the first day of the month wherever dates are required.
•Click the plus sign to the left of "References" to enter two professional references.
•After you enter your education information and references, click “Save,” then click “Next.”

•After you enter this information, click “Save,” then click “Next.”
