We're recruiting for an Assistant Auxiliary Manager to coordinate and manage the campus card operation, including account transactions, audit, card production equipment, vendor contracts, and service recommendations. The candidate will continuously develop the campus card program to ensure that it remains a valuable and relevant campus service, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand demand for new and or improved services. Also, investigate and recommend new services and revenue opportunities, and coordinate installation of Campus Cash equipment at local vendors’ businesses, and troubleshoot operation as needed. Manage all technical aspects of the parking equipment, security cameras and garage security systems, including vendor relationships with these service providers. Ensure excellent customer service for both parking and campus card. Data sensitivity in this operation requires using a very high level of confidentiality at all times. The candidate will serve in place of and support the parking manager as needed.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, or other related field/discipline.
Experience: Four years progressively responsible administrative experience providing customer service, operations, preparing summary reports, and transaction auditing. Two years experience managing, negotiating and procuring equipment contracts, and vendor relationship management.
Preferred Experience
Experience: Three or more years of experience managing, negotiating and procuring equipment contracts, plus vendor relationship management. Experience in a public higher education environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven applicable management experience with equipment as well as service-based contracts and vendors. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage requests for proposals (RFPs) to select vendors and services. Customer service experience, and the ability to represent the University in a very positive, professional manner. Ability to use Microsoft Excel to perform simple financial analysis and prepare very basic projections. Ability to audit contract revenue. Ability to provide clear, concise analysis and summaries of financial data. Effective operational, management and analytical skills. The ability to problem solve and make sound recommendations. Ability to influence and lead others outside of reporting lines to achieve goals and deadlines. Ability to participate in the development of responses to effectively address questions and prepare materials in response to inquiries. Ability to perform professionally, employing inherent customer service strategies, exercising judgment, discretion, and confidentiality, and leading by example.
