The Division of Applied Behavioral Sciences of the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Baltimore invites applicants with a doctorate in counseling psychology to apply for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position, open rank, beginning in August 2017.
The successful candidate will show evidence of a commitment to teaching and strong potential for independent scholarly research that can lead to tenure. Candidates should have credentials and interests that support the division’s counseling psychology concentration, including MPCAC accreditation, in the Applied Psychology master's program and in the undergraduate psychology program. Service to the division, college, university, and the profession will also be required.
The position requires licensure or license-eligibility as a psychologist in Maryland. Training, expertise, and experience in clinical supervision and training is desired, particularly in skills-oriented courses and in counseling practica and internships. Teaching interest and/or experience in a range of counseling psychology-specific courses is essential. Interest and ability to teach core courses in the master’s and undergraduate psychology programs is a plus. This tenure-track position requires demonstrated potential for consistent scholarly productivity that will involve students.

The Division of Applied Behavioral Sciences, located within the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences, has 11 full-time faculty members. At the graduate level the division offers an M.S. in Applied Psychology with concentrations in Counseling Psychology and Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In addition, a post-master's certificate in Professional Counseling Studies provides additional coursework required for licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland.
