The Robert G. Merrick School of Business of the University of Baltimore invites applications for a lecturer in accounting, beginning Fall 2017. This appointment is subject to final budget approval by the President of the University.

The Merrick School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, enrolls approximate 1,700 students, and has programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In the accounting area, we offer a B.S. Business Administration with a specialization in accounting and a Masters of Science in Accounting and Business Advisory Services. The University of Baltimore is part of the University System of Maryland and has four academic units: the Law School, the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Public Affairs, and the Merrick School of Business. The University is located in the cultural center of Baltimore within walking distance of the harbor, restaurants, theaters, symphony hall, and train station. Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have at least an MBA, or a specialized master’s degree, e.g. M.S. in Accounting or an M.S. in Taxation, and be a licensed CPA. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and relevant teaching experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven teaching record with the desire to deliver accounting courses to undergraduate and graduate business students, both across different levels of accounting subject matter and across several functional areas (e.g. financial reporting, audit and/or tax). Experience teaching online is desirable. The candidate is expected to be actively engaged in the profession and the community and will want to work closely with us to actively help grow our program both through internal and external service to the profession and the University.

Salary:

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

9. Click the Add Attachment link, select References, attach a PDF (preferred format) or Word document with your statement of teaching philosophy.  Click “Save and Add More."

10. Click the Add Attachment link, select References, attach a PDF (preferred format) or Word document with contact information for three professional references.  Click "Save."
