Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, this position provides administrative and complex clerical support to the Office of Human Resources. Primary areas of responsibility are processing employment contracts, creating and maintaining electronic and paper files, and customer service for UB hiring departments and employees.

• Responsible for review and processing of employment contracts, ensuring accuracy, adherence to policy, and timely processing for payment. Responsible for all contract types (Contingent I, II, Adjunct, Student Assistant, College Work Study, and Graduate Assistant) for assigned University departments.
• Processes regular employment transactions for assigned departments.
• Coordinates transactions with the UB Budget Office for Position Management, UB Payroll Office and the State’s Central Payroll Bureau. Communicates with UB contract coordinators and hiring departments as well as employees regarding contract issues.
• Responsible for first level approval and submission of weekly PACS files, performing QA duties by running audit queries and resolving any issues, provides adjunct and GA payroll listings to payroll in accordance to established schedule, and escalates any customer issues to HR Operations Manager as needed.
• Assists in development and implementation of ongoing contracts training for UB Contract Coordinators. Assists in developing and improving business processes related to employment transactions. Seeks and recommends ways to improve workflow.
• Participates in PeopleSoft patch/fix and upgrade testing. May serve as subject matter expert for business processes related to job data, contracts and timesheets.
• Provides back-up coverage to the HR Front desk, including answering phones, receiving guests, processing I-9s, and logging contracts.
Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: Three years of clerical experience, including one year in Human Resources.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Some college coursework in human resources
Experience: Work in a human resources department in a college or university

Demonstrated moderate to complex problem solving skills. Strong data entry and auditing skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. PC, word processing, spreadsheet and PeopleSoft skills. Ability to juggle multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs. Ability to learn and adapt to new technology while staying current with emerging technology; seeks opportunities to apply available technology to improve department results/service delivery. •For country, enter USA or click the hourglass to select another country.
•You can use the first day of the month wherever dates are required.
•Click the plus sign to the left of "References" to enter two professional references.
•After you enter your education information and references, click “Save,” then click “Next.”
