The principal role of the Case Explorer Coordinator position is coordinating Case Explorer (CE) efforts with the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (W/B HIDTA) initiatives and Group Supervisors. The CE Coordinator will work with the users to ensure CE data are properly entered into the system and that CE data are populated into the HIDTA Performance Management Program. The CE Coordinator will assist in the implementation of the CE policies and procedures; this position will gather and analyze user specifications and requirements and provide feedback to the development team. This person will also be responsible for training and promoting CE to the law enforcement community. The position will also assist in monitoring the usage of CE as well as the dissemination of data from CE to ensure compliance with the established Operating Policies and Procedures. The CE Coordinator will assist in performing analysis of the data. Analysis will include but not be limited to running custom queries, data modeling, determining how CE data can be used for strategic, tactical and operational intelligence, analyzing CE systems, and answering specific law enforcement questions. Position is contingent upon funding.

Key Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:
Provide help desk support to related to CE. Work closely with the Help Desk on escalated tickets and/or help desk tickets which may exceed scope and require dedicated assistance. Provide CE dedicated training to help desk staff.
Develop working relationships with local law enforcement agencies and users; assist them with obtaining connectivity to CE. Support the user community in collaboration with the development team, management, and help desk on any technical questions/concerns.
Assist in coordinating the development and implementation of a training program for CE users. Utilize feedback from help desk, development team, management, users, and stakeholders to improve training or provide additional training.
Provide ongoing technical and policy assistance to local law enforcement once they begin using CE. Assist stakeholders with incorporating CE into existing policy, standard operating procedures, and directives as needed.
Assist end users entering CE data and ensure CE data are populated into the HIDTA Performance Management Program. Coordinate efforts with stakeholder agencies and other HIDTAs. Serve as the primary point of contact for funding partners, stakeholder agencies, local partners, and all support staff. Respond to stakeholder issues and concerns.
Assist in the development of analytical products and reporting tools to maximize the effectiveness of CE. Utilized feedback, metrics, and data to produce reports and products to report to management and users reach of the program, milestones, and areas for improvement.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Four years related experience, with at least 1 year experience managing a large project and 1 year experience working with end users required. Web based application experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The individual in this position must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse national user group as well as effectively manage evolving projects and implementation. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required but not limited to: working knowledge of web based applications and MS Office products; knowledge and familiarity with software programs; excellent technical writing and communication skills; and ability to appropriately apply and create W/B HIDTA Directives, as well as interpret and employ the Directives of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).
