The University of Baltimore is seeking a Senior Admission Counselor (SAC) to join the Enrollment Management Division to recruit and enroll incoming graduate students in programs on campus, hybrid, or online as part of the overall admission strategic plan. The SAC will effectively represent the University in the graduate student market collaborating with select graduate program faculty at class visits, fairs, conferences, information sessions, webinars, and off-site outreach efforts. The Senior Admission Counselor manages the direct recruitment and enrollment of candidates for the College of Public Affairs graduate programs. Critical components of this position are proactive outreach to potential students to help grow enrollment in assigned programs and providing strong support and direction to prospective students from inquiry through enrollment.

Key Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:
Accountable for the recruitment of multiple programs and collaborates with the Director of Graduate Admission to ensure that the target enrollments for the assigned programs are achieved. Relies on reports to determine trends and collaborates with Enrollment Management leaders to create a recruitment plan for the college.
Assists the Director of Graduate Admission in managing the recruitment process and the delivery of information sessions, presentations, and customized promotional events on-campus and off-campus across all graduate and doctoral programs
Responsible for assessing prospective candidate leads, and building and maintaining relationships with candidates that span across the enrollment funnel, from inquiry to registration through individualized communications, recruitment events, presentations, individual campus interviews, chats, social media interaction, etc.
Represents The University of Baltimore graduate admission externally and within the College of Public Affairs - works closely with graduate program directors, assistant dean, and advisors, to devise new and innovative tactics to generate and convert quality leads into enrolled students.

Bachelor's degree

Master's degree
Required Experience:
Three years professional and progressively responsible experience in admission, sales, marketing or related field/discipline.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in graduate school recruitment and admissions techniques and the factors that influence enrollment and retention.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrate ability to meet goals.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems and various software applications used in sales, recruiting and/or admissions (including Microsoft Office programs, constituent relationship management and student information systems)
• Excellent public speaking with the ability to inspire an audience to action. Demonstrate ability to speak in front of large and small groups, as in delivering information sessions, lectures, or speaking at industry-specific conferences or trade shows
• Attention to detail, with agile problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt to the University style guide and the preferred AP format.
• Ability to make decisions, work independently, and be a team player, in a fast environment.
• Requires high level of interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, both in the US and internationally daily.
• Demonstrate success with the achievement of enrollment goals and the ability to use a counseling-based approach for the recruitment of new students.
• Track progress towards goals and undertake activities that support the achievement of those goals.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is required.
