University of Baltimore - The School of Health and Human Services of the College of Public Affairs invites applications for an open rank visiting professor in the Health Systems Management Program beginning no later than January 1, 2019 (contingent upon final budgetary approval) for the 2019 spring semester. This position requires traditional classroom instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and will include teaching online courses. The position involves the oversight of all HSMG programs, graduate and undergraduate, offered at the Baltimore and Rockville, Maryland campuses.
Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. or professional equivalent in Health Administration or a relevant health care specialization. Candidates should have a record of college level teaching and/or substantial executive experience to clearly demonstrate the potential for quality university instruction, service to their profession and to the university. Areas of specialization include but are not limited to quantitative methods, information technology systems and applications, process improvement, and marketing. This position requires that the person hired be an active member of the faculty who contributes to program development, governance, and sustainability. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Candidates will be joining a well-established program within the College of Public Affairs with a distinguished faculty of six full-time faculty. The University of Baltimore, located in downtown Baltimore, is part of the University System of Maryland serving a diverse urban professional community. The School offers both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Health Systems Management. The undergraduate program is certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). Responsibilities for this position include teaching courses in both the B.S. and M.S. programs in Health Systems Management, and maintaining an active research and service agenda.
