The Leadership Annual Giving Officer will develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, strategic relationships, major gift prospects, and a culture of philanthropy as a pivotal part of the University of Baltimore’s central advancement team. This position will meet, solicit and make meaningful contacts with donors and prospective donors to understand their goals and priorities, assess their interest and capacity, and raise support for campus initiatives. The Leadership Annual Giving Officer must be a self-motivated professional with a commitment to the University of Baltimore’s mission, a track record of advancing relationships, and broad knowledge of development principles. Key responsibilities include:
* Meeting, soliciting and making meaningful contact with donors and prospective donors to understand their goals and priorities. Assessing their interest and capacity. Raising support for campus initiatives through securing funds.
* Monitoring progress toward the campaign goals. Reviewing and analyzing donor/prospect data. Responsible for creating and executing fundraising strategies for the University’s annual donations campaign. Establishing and effectively managing relationships with donors and prospect donors through referrals and/or telephone/in-person meetings.
* Working closely with alumni and philanthropists in the community by building support for the University and efforts across campus.
Required Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Minimum of two years of demonstrated success in development experience, sales, marketing, communications and/or other outreach/relationship-building skills through professional or volunteer work, education or internships.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Must demonstrate the aptitude to represent the University in a highly professional and effective manner.
* Ability to cultivate relationships and solicit support from alumni and friends of the University. *
* Ability to make “cold” or “warm” calls to secure meetings and opportunities.
* Must be highly motivated and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to establish positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers and donors.
* Ability to thrive in a metric and data driven environment.
* Must be a creative and strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to coordinate and schedule local travel.
* Must be organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
* Must be able to travel locally and regionally up to 30%, occasional work on evenings and/or weekends may be required.

•Use the dropdown to enter your highest education level. Entering this information is required.
•Then, only college and university information is required. Click the plus sign to the left of the “Postsecondary Education” link to enter that information.
•For country, enter USA or click the hourglass to select another country.
•You can use the first day of the month wherever dates are required.
•Click the plus sign to the left of "References" to enter two professional references.
•After you enter your education information and references, click “Save,” then click “Next.”

•After you enter this information, click “Save,” then click “Next.”
4. Online Questionnaire/Application Questionnaire: Answer the questions requiring a yes or no response. After you answer them, click “Submit.” This leads you to the Submit Online Application page.
