Provide expertise in family law and family justice system issues to enhance CFCC’s marketability, credibility, and stature. Assist the Director to develop collaborative relationships with funders and other partners at the national, state, and local levels. Research, develop, and draft CFCC grant proposals and grant reports. Assist the Director to provide technical assistance on family court reform projects, evaluations of court-related programs, strategic planning, and surveys and reports on family justice issues. Oversee and report to the Director regarding the day-to-day operation of CFCC’s Truancy Court Program (TCP). Assist the Director to develop training syllabi and materials, including those for CFCC’s court reform projects, law students, conferences, symposia, and trainings for judges, court personnel, attorneys, law students, and other interested constituents. Provide other services to CFCC as assigned by the Director, including, but not limited to, helping the Director draft CFCC publications and media submissions; overseeing law students’ assignments based upon requirements of grant funded initiatives; and collaborating on development and strategic planning initiatives for CFCC.
Required Qualifications
Education: Juris Doctorate
Experience: Five to ten years of experience in the practice of family law or advocacy, expertise in family justice system issues, and experience with grant writing and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Extensive grant writing and reporting experience. Extensive experience practicing family law and/or family justice system reform advocacy. Supervisory experience, including working with law students. Excellent research and writing skills, including a record of publications. Public speaking experience.
