Assists in ensuring the safety and security of our faculty, staff, students, guests and university assets while providing excellent customer service to the University of Baltimore community. Must make guests feel safe and comfortable through creating a worry-free, carefree experience. Provide informative service with accuracy. Meet service requirements and anticipate guest needs. Greet with friendly welcomes, making eye contact and smiling. Work passionately with campus community to create a pleasant experience for everyone who works, studies at, and visits UB.

Patrol buildings and grounds and notifies appropriate personnel when security and safety threats arise. Interact with campus community members. Interact with the campus community in a professional manner when providing assistance, giving directions and responding to inquiries. Complete logs and security related reports as instructed/directed. Daily review and response to electronic mail. Maintain communication with appropriate personnel utilizing equipment such as two-way radios and telephones and other electronic means of communication. Notify supervisor of any unusual events, incidents or crimes. Report medical or fire emergencies, such as sick or injured persons. Staff the Visitor Entrance and monitor guest and campus community passage in and out of buildings. Greet guests with a smile and a warm welcome. Maintain a log of visitors and vendors visiting the facilities.
Minimum Required Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience: Some college course completion, 5 years of work experience, prior security experience.

2. Education/Education History and References:
•Use the dropdown to enter your highest education level. Entering this information is required.
•Then, only college and university information is required. Click the plus sign to the left of the “Postsecondary Education” link to enter that information.
•For country, enter USA or click the hourglass to select another country.
•You can use the first day of the month wherever dates are required.
•Click the plus sign to the left of "References" to enter two professional references.
•After you enter your education information and references, click “Save,” then click “Next.”
3. How did you find out about us/how did you find out about the job?
•After you enter this information, click “Save,” then click “Next.”
4. Online Questionnaire/Application Questionnaire: Answer the questions requiring a yes or no response. After you answer them, click “Submit.” This leads you to the Submit Online Application page.
