The Admission Latinx/Diversity Recruiter is responsible for meeting enrollment goals by engaging, nurturing, informing, and assisting students through the admission and enrollment processes. To do so, this individual will need to have knowledge of outreach and marketing, sales and recruitment, using technology, and common admission and enrollment best practices. The Admission Latinx/Diversity Recruiter will be responsible for fostering interest, generating applications, making admission decisions, and enrolling students. The individual in this positon is responsible for partnership development, outreach and communications with multicultural students. Key Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks
Recruit Prospective Freshman and Transfer Students – coordinate and attend events, nurture students through the admissions pipeline, communicate effectively, share information as necessary -
* Engaging students throughout the admission funnel – prospect, application, and admitted, registered – to secure enrollments.
* Manage time and responsibilities to meet weekly and monthly goals.
* Work as part of a team, in collaboration with both admission and other campus-based colleagues.
* Build partnerships with feeder high schools, community colleges, and other external organizations.
* Facilitate workshops, presentations, campus tours, and other events.
* Develop individual and group long term plans for marketing, recruitment, outreach, communications and other areas of need.
* Provide a positive and transparent customer service experience for students and their families, colleagues, and institutional partners.
Make admission decisions based on information provided; data entry and follow up with students -
* Utilize enrollment/admission technologies; preference given to knowledge of PeopleSoft, Salesforce and/or ImageNow.
* Effectively communicate through email, social media, phone, and in person.
*Attend Admission events, staff meetings, and provide occasional front desk coverage, etc.
Work evening and weekends, as necessary
Required Education and Experience
Education: Baccalaureate degree in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Business, Communication or related field/discipline that coordinates with/applies to the responsibilities of the position.
Experience: Three years of professional experience in admission, sales, marketing or related field/discipline
* Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish
* Experience working with the Latinx population – particularly within the region
* Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Education and Experience
Education: Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Business, Communications, Higher Education.
Experience using database systems (preferably People Soft), customer/constituent relationship management systems (preferably Salesforce), and document imaging (preferably Image Now).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to travel, have a reliable means of transportation, have a valid driver’s license, and work evening and weekend hours as necessary.
Knowledge of current national trends in admission and enrollment management, with participation or membership in NACAC, AACRAO, or other national or regional organizations preferred.
Technology – CRM, ERP, Document Imaging, Office Suite
Communications – Social Media, Written and Oral, Bi-Lingual
