Intake Specialist/Office Manager

Small Business Development Center

Position Type: Contingent I (contractual)

Salary: $15.00/hour

Work Schedule:  40 hours/week

DUTIES:

Primary responsibility is managing the daily functioning of the Central Region SBDC office.  This position is responsible for coordinating client services and public communications. This includes telephone, online and face-to-face communication. Responsible for overseeing client files within a statewide central database.

Assist Marketing/Training Manager with new Initiative International Training program that is being launch for the entire MD SBDC Network.  Responsibility includes: developing international training topics, conduct market research and surveys on how to attract the right clients, developing international trade consulting services and develop international trade market research resources. Provide some assistance in creating SBDC newsletter, brochures, flyers and International marketing materials. Knowledge of desktop publishing is helpful.

Coordinate, conference rooms for SBDC training and special events.  Prepare promotional and handout materials, email training registration confirmation notice to registration participants and responding to inquiries from attendees and the general public.

Responsible for monthly financial reconciliation of one or more projects with the University of Baltimore (PeopleSoft) general ledger and handle processing of the projects: purchasing, travel reimbursement, registrations and conference fees. Process revenue deposits generated from SBDC training events and submit daily deposit forms to UB Comptroller’s office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred    
• Good written and oral skills   
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong team player
• Knowledge of small business management a plus
• Must have proficient computers skills
• . Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 (In Design, Photoshop Illustrator)
