The University of Baltimore’s School of Communications Design seeks a published fiction or literary non-fiction writer for a half-time contractual position. Responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as being an active and contributing M.F.A. faculty member . Ideal candidate will have an appropriate graduate degree, a substantive record of publications, and college-level teaching experience. Ability to teach multiple genres a plus. Teaching responsibilities will focus on helping students develop and improve their writing, and understand and seek publication opportunities.
QUALFICATIONS
Requires an M.A. or M.F.A. in creative writing or a significant publication record; college-level teaching experience; demonstrated effectiveness in the classroom; publications in creative writing. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the publishing arts and current technologies that support writers, be able to work effectively as part of a team; have strong communication and interpersonal skills; and have experience working with a diverse, non-traditional student population.
