Senior governance is structured to provide input from the academic and student services area; assure continued strategic direction for major University initiatives; coordinate those initiatives across multiple campus units; and strengthen community at UB.

The Executive Committee, chaired by the President, will be attended by the provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, the senior vice president for administration and finance, the senior vice president for enrollment management and student affairs, the vice president for planning and external affairs, the vice president for technology and chief information officer, dean of the School of Law, dean of the Merrick School of Business, dean of the College of Public Affairs, and dean of the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences, with support from the executive director for presidential operations and special projects. The Executive Committee will assist in shaping Cabinet meeting agendas, making final decisions on budgets, and advancing sensitive issues related to external University relations. Other staff reporting to the President will join Executive Committee meetings as needed.
