If the airfare for approved travel is purchased through a contract travel agency, the traveler need not pay out of pocket (the University will be charged directly by the travel agency). Before you contact a travel agency you must have a travel authorization "T" number. To get a T number, create a PeopleSoft Requisition for the travel expense reimbursement, and then contact the Comptroller's Office to get the T number assigned. Then contact the travel agency, give them the T number and arrange the travel.
For additional informaiton, see the UBalt Comptroller's Office web site. Additional information is available on the UM Travel Services web site.
