The annual Maryland Charity Campaign gives state government employees the opportunity to donate directly to their favorite charities. This year’s overall campaign theme is “Make the Choice to Make a Difference,” and we encourage you to consider donating to your choice of more than 700 charitable organizations, including the University of Baltimore Foundation.
Last year, UBalt employees raised a record-setting $38,000 for this campaign. We’re confident our employees will rise to the challenge once again and set another University record, which is why we've named UBalt’s 2013 effort the “ MCC 40 by 30 Campaign ”: Our goal is to raise $40,000 between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30.
Our kickoff event is Tuesday, Nov 5th, 11:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. on Gordon Plaza. Learn more about the participating charitable organizations, enjoy some refreshments and help get the fundraising started through a bake sale, raffles, and more.
In the near future, you will receive an individual packet of charity campaign information from your unit’s steering committee representative. And throughout November, we will coordinate with individual offices and units to provide more information about the various methods through which you can donate; they include:
- Pledge card: payroll deduction, cash, check or credit card
- On-line pledge: payroll deduction or credit card
- One-time donation: cash, check or credit card
If you have any questions or would like any additional information, contact steering committee chair Alicia Campbell (acampbell@ubalt.edu) or Irv Brown (ibrown@ubalt.edu). We thank you in advance for helping to make a difference through UBalt’s 2013 Maryland Charity Campaign.
