Social Maryland Food Bank Volunteers enable us to effectively distribute food to soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and other community food programs throughout the state. Last year, alone, volunteers sorted over one million pounds of food donated through food drives and as salvage; labeled thousands of cases of vegetables donated to the Maryland Food Bank ; and provided invaluable support in the office – preparing mailings, filing, and making phone calls.
