About E-mail
All UBalt faculty, staff and students receive a UBalt e-mail account and address. Find out when and for how long you get e-mail access on the Accounts Information page.
The Office of Technology Services manages the Microsoft Exchange server, which delivers an enterprise messaging experience with efficient access to e-mail, a UBalt global address list, personal contacts, attachments, calendaring, tasks, journal, public folders, e-mail filtering and notes.
E-mail Access
You can access your account several ways, with the first two being recommended and supported by OTS.
- Faculty and staff on campus are encouraged to use Microsoft Outlook as an Exchange client. This is setup automatically when you sign in a campus computer connected to the UBalt network. This is not available on Macintosh computers.
- E-mail is available through the MyUB Portal , in the Tools area.
- You can configure Outlook 2007 or 2010 off-campus to access your entire UBalt mailbox (Outlook Anywhere)
- You can check email through a Mobile Device.
