Thinking that crime can only happen to someone else and doing nothing to prepare yourself or take precautionary measures makes you the perfect victim criminals are looking for.  Making yourself less of a target is simpler than you might think.  Most crime can and should be prevented by simply reducing the opportunities for it to occur. By educating the campus community on crime prevention techniques and by getting students, faculty and staff involved in crime prevention activities we can reduce crimes in and around campus, and increase the quality of life for our campus members.
