Biking

Bicycling

Would you like a free VIP parking spot on Gordon Plaza?  It’s all yours—just ride a bike to campus!

At UB we encourage biking, it’s the best way to get around!  There are several benefits, in addition to great parking, to biking to campus:
     • save money by not driving—lose the expenses of gas, parking, and insurance every month
     • avoid the hassle of being stuck in traffic
     • get into great shape and feel healthier
     • help keep the planet healthy by reducing your effect on the environment

Using Google Maps is a quick and easy way to get biking directions to anywhere you want to go.

To be safe, remember to always wear a helmet and to lock your bike up when not in use.

It is also a good idea to register your bike with Public Safety.  You can do so by visiting the communications desk on the first floor of the Academic Center.  It will only take a few minutes to fill out some information about your bike on an index card, which will then be entered into the database.  You will then be issued a registration sticker to put on your bike.  If you become a victim of bicycle theft, the information on file may help to recover your property.
