  • Basic Math Refresher

    UB's Achievement and Learning Center is not offering any GMAT reviews or preparation workshops in 2013.

    This session reviews the skills you’ll need for the Quantitative Review—fractions, percents, decimals, exponents and signed numbers; order of operations; basic linear equations; equations with two unknowns; basic word problems; and line graphs. Evaluate your need for this review by taking this diagnostic test to determine whether you would benefit from taking the GMAT Basic Math Refresher. A score of less than 16 correct (below 80 percent) suggests that you would greatly benefit from attending.

  • Quantitative Review

    UB's Achievement and Learning Center is not offering any GMAT reviews or preparation workshops in 2013.

    This 16-hour review (four sessions) prepares you for the two quantitative question types encountered on the GMAT. The course is also excellent preparation for graduate quantitative business courses. Consider taking our Basic Math Refresher to brush up on your basic math skills before the Quantitative Review.

  • Critical Reasoning Review

    UB's Achievement and Learning Center is not offering any GMAT reviews or preparation workshops in 2013.

    This review provides you with tips for understanding and evaluating critical reasoning arguments. While practicing with real GMAT questions, you’ll develop strategies for identifying common critical reasoning question types and avoiding common reading and thinking errors.

  • Reading Comprehension Review

    UB's Achievement and Learning Center is not offering any GMAT reviews or preparation workshops in 2013.

    This review provides you with tips for reading carefully and efficiently and with techniques for reading online. While practicing with real GMAT questions, you’ll learn to identify the six common reading comprehension question types and avoid common reading mistakes.

  • Sentence Correction Review

    UB's Achievement and Learning Center is not offering any GMAT reviews or preparation workshops in 2013.

    You’ll review the most common problem areas: pronouns, verbs, modifiers, comparisons and lists. In addition, you’ll practice with actual exam questions and review effective strategies.

  • Analytical Writing Assessment

    UB's Achievement and Learning Center is not offering any GMAT reviews or preparation workshops in 2013.

    Many MBA programs are interested in evaluating how well you write. The GMAT’s Analytical Writing Assessment requires you to write two essays in one hour. This review provides general strategies for both essay types (analyzing an issue and critiquing an argument), equips you with techniques for writing under pressure and gives you customized tips based on writing you’ll do during the review. Class size is limited to 10 people.
