We can see your potential and know you'll be successful here next fall.
If you've fallen just short of admission requirements to be accepted to UB as a freshman, the Office of Undergraduate Admission may invite you to participate in our Summer Achievement Institute, which will provide you the tools you need to succeed at UB.
Whether you’ve just finished high school or are returning to school after some time off, the institute will help you hit the ground running for your first semester.
In the institute, you'll take refresher courses in math, writing, and reading three days a week for four weeks and produce a portfolio of your work for a final grade. If you successfully pass the program, you can enter UB in the fall.
In 2016, 93 percent of Summer Achievement Institute students enrolled in UB classes in the fall.
All freshman applicants who do not gain acceptance into the University of Baltimore and are not invited to participate in the Summer Achievement Institute will be offered admission into the Freshman Transition Program.
