UB Professional Pathways:
An Educational Experience Like No Other
At UB, your college years are focused on preparing you for a job in a high-demand industry. So we've created a groundbreaking program for freshman and transfer students to make that happen.
From the start, you'll be grouped with other students who share your broad area of interest. Programming begins with your career interests and is designed to keep you on track to graduate in four years. If you're a freshman and haven't yet declared a major, it's OK. You'll still enter one of five UB Professional Pathways that provide the opportunity to explore majors within these career clusters:
Your journey to success begins on the first day of class. You'll partner with leaders in your chosen field, knowledgeable faculty, career coaches and more to thrive in a hands-on learning environment.
In the first two years, you will fulfill general education requirements and explore your career interests while staying on course to either graduate in four years or continue on an accelerated path to your master's or law degree.
Save time and money with accelerated options.
Qualified students can take up to 9 graduate credits that apply to both your bachelor’s degree and your master’s or law degree. Explore accelerated degree options.
Participating in the wide variety of available experiential-learning opportunities will keep you actively engaged and give you a competitive advantage in your career. Examples include:
- civic and community learning projects
