During your time at the School of Law, you will have the opportunity to take a rich range of classes in both the day and evening divisions.
You will earn 87 credits before graduating taking an array of both required and elective courses. As a day student, your first year is structured. As an evening student your first two years are structured. As an evening student, you can expect your first year evening classes generally to be scheduled between 5:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and your second year evening classes generally to be scheduled between 5:45 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The Introduction to Lawyering Skills course will combine instruction on legal writing with a substantive course such as Torts, Contracts, Criminal Law or Civil Procedure I. The purpose of the ILS course is to teach legal writing skills within the context of a required first-year course. All students, regardless of the ILS course in which they are enrolled, will receive a similar legal writing experience.

As a part-time day student, you may take Criminal Law in the summer after the first year if it is offered and if there is space available. If these are not taken over the summer, you may take those courses in the fall. You must take Torts in the Fall of your second year, and Property in the spring of your second year.
