Get out there and do.
Helen P. Denit Honors Program's service-learning, volunteer and co-curricular activities enhance your academic experience with opportunities that cultivate leadership skills, develop personal and professional skills, and foster a commitment to scholarship, civic engagement and cultural diversity.
Why
Keep track of your participation.
Keep track of your event attendance within the UB Honors Canvas course. It is very important that you fill out the Co-curricular Event assignments or swipe your Bee Card at all events because that is how we confirm your participation and give you credit toward your graduation requirements.
The Helen P. Denit Honors Program encourages creativity, scholarship, volunteerism, travel and cultural exploration by financially supporting student participation in diverse experiential learning activities and co-curricular events.
To graduate from the Helen P. Denit Honors Program, you must participate in Denit honors sponsored events and activities.
We also offer financial awards that support nonpaid internships, service and study abroad, leadership development, research publication and presentation. These awards are competitive and all require a contribution to the honors program via participation in honors sponsored events.
Requirements
For each semester that you are enrolled in the Helen P. Denit Honors Program, you must attend two co-curricular events.
