Note: Students enrolled in the Master’s in Taxation program are graduate students and need to follow the Graduate/Undergraduate Calendar for financial aid purposes.

1/1/2012 2012-2013 FAFSA Available5/1/2012 Bookstore Credit - The UB Bookstore credit program is not available for the summer semester. Check in July for Bookstore Credit information for fall 20125/1/2012Graduate and Professional Scholarship deadlineAll law students who are Maryland residents will be considered for the MHEC scholarship if they have filed their FAFSA by May 1st5/1/2012 2012 Summer Financial AidFor the summer 2012 semester there is no application for financial aid. Students will be awarded for summer based upon enrollment. You should receive a summer financial aid award on MyUB, and a summer financial aid award letter within a week of registering at least half time, (for summer only half time is 3 credits) Details5/1/2012 Satisfactory Academic Progress Review BeginsAs grades for Spring 2012 classes are reported our office will review all students who were on Probation (Academic Plan), Warning or Not meets. Students who meet the minimum requirements, once all spring grades are reviewed, will be set back to meets and any pending summer financial aid will be cleared for disbursement. Students who are failing to meet the minimum requirements, but have met the terms of their probation will be cleared for disbursement. Students who are not meeting the minimum requirements of the SAP policy (or their probation terms) will be set to not meets and do not qualify for further aid until a SAP appeal has been approved, or the students grades and completion ratio have been brought back to the minimum requirements. 1/1/2012 2012-2013 FAFSA AvailableOn going New student awards begin
New students who have been admitted with a complete FAFSA will begin being awarded financial aid for the fall 2012/spring 2013 terms.Details4/15/2012 Scholarships for New Transfer studentsAll new undergraduate transfer students will be automatically considered for merit scholarships, based on academic credentials. Full-time students with a GPA of 2.5 or greater may receive up to $2,500 for the academic year.
Full-time students who have a GPA of 3.5 or greater and are admitted on or before April 15, 2012 may be considered for an additional $1,000 scholarship.

Refund checks are mailed from Annapolis.6/1/2012Scholarships for New Graduate StudentsNew Graduate students may qualify for various UB Foundation Scholarships based upon admissions credentials and based upon the unique criteria of individual scholarships. Funding is extremely limited. Awards are made based upon admission credentials and upon the order in which completed admissions applications are received. Priority consideration is given to those who are admitted by June 1st.
