What is Financial Clearance?
EVERY SEMESTER
For every student, financial clearance means demonstrating your intention for payment for a given semester. Financial clearance can mean different things to different students. For some, it may mean creating a payment plan in CashNet. For others, submitting a FAFSA, and for others submitting their financial guarantee paperwork to show a third party is paying their tuition. Financial clearance does not mean you have to be paid in full by the payment due date. Rather, each student should take action to carry out the manner in which they intend to cover their tuition for the semester.
Are Financial Aid & Financial Clearance the same?
Financial aid and financial clearance are NOT the same. If you are planning to use financial aid to help cover expenses, financial clearance happens AFTER your financial aid package is completed. This will include all required paperwork; loans accepted or declined, entrance counseling, and Master Promissory Notes signed. We encourage students to complete their financial aid requirements at least two weeks before they need to financially clear. If you have not completed a FAFSA application visit www.fafsa.gov.
Spring 2025 Payment Due Date (Financial clearance) is January 3, 2025.
Enrolled after the Payment Due Date? Financial Clearance is due in 7 days.
