There’s a lot to Student Life at UB and even more to do see and enjoy. With lively urban campus located right in Baltimore’s midtown Arts District, You can take advantage of great museums, live concerts, upscale restaurants and trendy nightlife all just a short stroll away.
And be sure to stop by the Henry and Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Center for Student Involvement. The center coordinates all student life activities on campus the popular student government block party, social events, keynote speakers and various cultural opportunities.
CSI is big on community service too sponsoring opportunities through the leadership program and coordinating "Community Service Day" each spring. UB students, faculty and staff to go out to more than a dozen sites throughout the community and help those less fortunate during that full day of service.
Student Housing
UB’s campus is definitely non-traditional, woven into the dynamic cityscape we call home. However, if you want to live “on campus,” CSI can help you tap into some attractive nearby housing resources and even find a roommate. UB has made arrangements with several apartment complexes within a short walk of campus to provide you with cost-effective, convenient living options.
In addition to the online resources, CSI also offers apartment shoppers guides from the Baltimore and DC Metro area, maps, transportation information and a variety of printed resources to help you find the ideal place to live.
Student Clubs
Get involved in any of 45 active student-run clubs, covering just about any interest you could imagine. UB also hosts honor societies, academic interest groups focusing on the topics of offers, liberal arts and law, and special interest groups based on diversity, activities, hobbies and more.

Learning Leadership
Through UB’s Leadership Certification program, you can develop core leadership and team building skills. The program offers workshops, community service activities, multimedia resources and more, which can lead you to earn a certificate as either an Emerging or Established Leader.
Student Spaces
Designed with student input, UB’s Student Center features an array of modern and convenient services for the UB community, including wireless access. You’ll discover a 200-seat recital hall, multipurpose room, study lounge, TV lounge, game room, convenience store, and a cafÈ. There’s also the Center for Student Involvement and Career Center, a computer lab, offices and meeting space for clubs and organizations, and open spaces for conversation and study.
Opening in Fall 2010, UB’s new bookstore, a full-service Barnes and Noble complete with cafÈ, will be located in the new Fitzgerald complex at Mt. Royal Avenue and Oliver Street.
When you want to study alone or with a study group, you can find a quiet spot in the Langsdale Library or the Law Library.

Shape Up!
UB’s Campus Recreation and Wellness facilities feature all the amenities of a full-service fitness center and more. The Recreation Center’s exercise facilities feature high-tech strength-training machines, Nautilus equipment and separate rooms for free weights, spinning and plyometrics. Add to that a basketball court, racquetball courts, an aerobic studio, personal training and group classes. The center also is home to the University’s growing intramurals and sports club programs.
