Even though a UB education is surprisingly affordable, costs can add up. But if you have a good GPA and SAT scores, you have an excellent chance of receiving scholarship support.
All new undergraduate transfer students will be automatically considered for merit scholarships, based on academic credentials. Full time students with a GPA of 2.5 or greater may receive up to $2500 for the academic year. Part time students with a GPA of 2.5 or greater may receive $500 for the academic year. To qualify for a UB merit Scholarship, submit an application form.
Students enrolled in the Health Systems Management Program will be considered for these awards and considered full-time based on 9 credits of enrollment. All other criteria remain the same.

Wilson Presidential Scholarship (new students only)
This transfer student scholarship covers 100% of in-state tuition per academic year. Student must have a cross-institutional GPA of 3.5 or higher. The award is for four semesters of enrollment, excluding summer, if a UB GPA of 3.25 is maintained.
There are two methods of application:
- Through a Maryland Community College: Applications are available in the Office of Financial Aid of all Maryland community colleges, which determine their application procedures and may establish eligibility criteria in addition to those specified by UB. Each community college has a pre-determined number of nominations available. One of those nominees may be a part-time person. Nominations through the community colleges are only available for students who begin in the fall semester.
- Directly to the University of Baltimore. The Wilson Presidential Scholarship Application, a 300-400 word essay, two letters of reference (at least one from a college faculty member) and all other supporting materials must be submitted by March 1st for the Fall semester and November 1st for the Spring semester.
