Archives of Maryland Polonia ( AMP)
The Archives of Maryland Polonia was founded in 1982 to preserve, document and make available to reseachers the history of Polish immigrants and people of Polish heritage in the State of Maryland. The archival collection consists of books, documents, photographs, newspaper clippings, genealogies, and correspondence. A few words about arrangement. The collection is divided into thirty-six general subject classifications or series. Then within these broad categories the files are listed under more specific sub-classifications which appear as bold headings. However, when you use the collection the files are arranged alphabetically by name or title within the individual boxes. In an effort to document every aspect of the Polish experience in Maryland we ask the public's help in donating items related to the history and genealogy of the Polish presence in Maryland. Please send an email if you wish to contribute to this collection, whether through actual donation or scanned materials.
